Specs Review:

The top surface is made of aluminum with the brushed radial pattern on it. The bottom surface is also same material. It is the best build notebook. The screen is rigid. The hinges are hard and perfectly tuned. It is a one-handed open notebook. I think this time Asus nailed the build. The chassis is great. It makes this thing so compact and thin. The port selection on Asus Zenbook 3 is limited but external adapter is including with notebook. On the right side, there is only audio jack and USB 3.1 Type C on the other side. It doesn’t support Thunderbolt 3. The display is 12.5” 1080p panel covered with Gorilla Glass 4. It has good color accuracy and contrast but the display is not very bright. Because of the glass screen and less bright display you can’t use it outdoors. The webcam is worst.

The worst webcam I ever use! The keyboard is good. It has less key travel. The typing is good because I like the keyboard, which has less key travel. The keyboard has backlit. The keys are good except spacebar, which is a little stiff. Overall all this is a good keyboard. The trackpad is good. It has glass surface on it. The tracking is smooth and accurate. It doesn’t skip while tracking. I don’t like buttons because buttons are hard and stiff. On the upper right corner, it has a fingerprint scanner, which allows Windows Hello. The speakers are great. It has 4 speakers, 2 above the keyboard and other 2 speakers are at the bottom.

It sounds amazing. The sound is loud but it distorts at maximum volume. You can play low-end games on it. The internal system gets very hot while gaming because of a single fan. The fan noise is loud. The thing I don’t like about it is the fan runs regularly even if you are doing some random work on it. It has a 40WH battery which gives you around 6 hours of battery life. The battery performance is excellent.

Customer Review Summary:

  • Ultra-Thin, Ultra-Light, Elegant, and Decidedly Powerful ASUS Zenbook 3 Ultra-Portable Computer, with Some Necessary Compromises
  • Great specs, decent battery life, good price
  • A beast!

I really like Asus Zenbook 3. If you are a student and want some ultra thin and lightweight notebook then this is for you. You can do random student work on it but it is overpriced at these specs. But you didn’t find the best-built, awesome display with longer battery life at this priced rate. This is currently one of the best laptops for college students at this budget. If you are a content creator, video editor or gamer then this is not for you, you should try other powerful laptops.
