It’s a full aluminum built, there is no plastic in there. The hinges are also made of aluminum. This is the best-built quality Chromebook to date. The ports selection is quite good. On the right side, a USB C port & SD card slot. On the other side, another USB C port, audio jack, volume button & power button. There is no Thunderbolt 3 and USB A port. The display is good. 12.5” Touchscreen display with 2400×1340 resolution. The display is less bright and color accurate. The viewing angles are nice. The bezels are thick. The hinges are perfectly tuned but it’s not one-handed open. This is the best display for Chromebook. Because of the less bright display, you can’t use this outdoors.
The performance is great. If we consider a base model then the processor is very slow and storage space is low. If you purchase an upgraded version then you will get Core M3-6Y30, which is great for Chromebook and 64GB of flash storage, which is very low if you come from a laptop. But it is understandable because it’s a Chromebook. The base model costs you around $450 and upgraded model at $500. So, I’m recommending you purchase upgraded model because it has a faster processor and more storage. The keyboard is awesome. It is backlit and the layout is perfect. It has 1.4mm key travel, which gives you awesome typing experience.
The keyboard is awesome compared to other Chromebooks. The best part is the flip so you can flip it and use it like tab. It is comfortable to hold because it is lightweight. When you flip it, feels like actual tab. The trackpad is not so good. The surface is good but it skips while tracking. The buttons are bad because you have to press more. I don’t like the trackpad. The battery life is excellent. It has a 39WH battery, which gives you 9 hours of battery life, which is great because you don’t have to take the charger with you. The speakers are decent and well positioned. The sound is clear & loud enough. It’s a fanless device.

It is a good choice for college students because Asus Chromebook Flip is super thin, lightweight & it has longer battery life so students can use this at college hours and It is a lightweight laptop so students can carry with all time. This is best suits for the student who like to move around the campus! I know this is overpriced but you couldn’t find best built with an awesome display and excellent battery performance on other Chromebooks. So, you should try this one and make sure, purchase upgraded model. You have some less choice of applications because of ChromeOS but you can download android apps too. So, this is the good thing about latest Chromebook. The bezels are too thick and because of the less bright display, you can’t use it outdoors. So, these are some limitations of this Chromebook.
